About island Pag
The island of Pag is one of the largest
Adriatic islands with the longest coastline on the Adriatic
with plenty of bays, inlets, capes and beaches. The largest
bay, Paska uvala, is surrounded by 27 kilometers of pebble beaches.
Pag is unique due to its vegetation with almost no trees. Pag’s
rocky landscape, characterized by thin grass, low aromatic herbs,
sage and immortelle, is dotted with long stonewalls. These aromatic
herbs, the basis in the diet of the local sheep, provide Pag’s
famous cheese with its special flavor. The gastronomic offer
includes first class sheep cheese and lamb, as well as various
seafood specialties.
